Book recounts Exploits of Owens Calley Girls in the 30’s and 40’s

The Eastern California Museum will host Joan DeDecker Busby and Carol Decker Weins as they sign copies of their recently published book. “Sage & Sierra Growing Up In The Owens Valley” a memoir about their unique childhood in Independence during the Depression and before and after WWII. The “girls” are the daughters of Paul and Mary DeDecker, a well-known, author, historian and botanist. The book recounts the joy of small-town life and exploring the Eastern Sierra.  The DeDecker sisters be signing their book from 1 to 3 pm. Saturday, April 7 at the Eastern California Museum, 155 N.
